National Guidance Center for Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Established

With China implementing a new round of high-level opening-up policy and striving to build a new open economic system, the numbers of overseas intellectual property disputes and litigations encountered by Chinese enterprises during international development have increased significantly.
On July the 10th, National Guidance Center for Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute (“the Center”) was established. Directed by IP Protection Department of CNIPA, the Center aims at zooming in difficulties and pain points of Chinese enterprises in handling overseas IP disputes, building state-level channel to collect and distribute information about overseas IP disputes, establishing guidance and assistance mechanism for Chinese enterprises in resolving overseas IP disputes, and improving Chinese enterprises’ awareness of IP risk prevention control and their capability to resolve disputes in their courses of “Going globally”.
