Local Trademark Receiving Offices Go Paperless

According to CNIPA, local trademark receiving offices nationwide have completed conversion from paper filing to electronic filing, and no longer accept paper applications. The head receiving office in Beijing, however, can still receive paper applications.

Chinese applicants can directly file trademark applications from the official website of CNIPA, or visit local receiving offices to complete electronic filing under the officials’ guidance. For foreign applicants, however, trademark applications shall still be filed through Chinese trademark agencies.
