Starting from July 1, 2019, CNIPA will lower governmental fees for some trademark matters, specifically,
- Reducing governmental fee for trademark renewal application from CNY1000 to CNY 500;
- Reducing governmental fee for trademark modification applications from CNY 250 to CNY 150; waiving off governmental fee for trademark modification applications filed online;
- 10% discount off the standard government fee for applications filed online for trademark registration, reissuance of trademark registration certificate, trademark assignment, trademark renewal, grace-period renewal, trademark review (online filing not available yet), issuance of certification of registration, collective mark registration, certification mark registration, trademark opposition (online filing not available yet), trademark cancellation (online filing not available yet), and trademark license recordal.
